Mercy knew no bounds as it came down
To unwind the wounds and shame of yesterday.
Mercy knew no limits of hope
When life was restored as it displayed its power
Through the life of one who holds all power.
Mercy came down at the perfect hour
And showered his love
Through all he gave
When he chose to remain
Amongst so much hate.
Mercy loved and loves through all
That reeks of sin and pride
Yet hides from perfect love
When shown as most sincere
Even in the midst of hate filled jeers.
Mercy so perfect, so true
That few can see and feel
The liberty it can bring
For all who feel their stings
In all life’s vicious cycles
Once thought to be so precious
Now left undone and worthless.
Mercy knew you when life
Became too great
And threatened to break
All that you had to fake.
Mercy waited to hear your voice
Though none was ever heard
And now deserted and lonely
Mercy still stands to offer you
His love that is perfect and true.
Psalm 86:15 (Amplified Translation) But You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in mercy and loving-kindness and truth.
Lamentations 3:22-23 (Amplified Translation) It is because of the Lord’s mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassion's fail not. They are new every morning; great and abundant is Your stability and faithfulness.
