The Trio of Destruction

It’s never too late to begin to make a change, never. Change ensures that you have another opportunity to start anew. Change is not your enemy. A butterfly was once a caterpillar. A bear gains strength after leaving his winter cave. So you see, a new thing I have reserved for you; unlike anything else, it’s especially for you. Running from pain doesn’t make it disappear or even lessen it. Left unattended, it hardens like concrete in your heart and soul, covering up the once benevolent parts of your heart.

Change that removes parts and pieces of the old you is being offered to you. Some parts are more rooted deep in your thoughts because they’re imperceptibly intertwined with your soul through your decisions, words, and behavior. Some parts are still fluid and come and go as you are able to still choose your course of action, indecisively, but you do still choose.

Matters of the heart is where I want to start so that I can break apart the hardness of your heart. There are no harshness of words in my written words found in my book, the Bible. Instead, the book contains divine instructions for those who choose them, believe them, and allow them to light up their path. My word will show you how others before you brought me the matters of their hearts. The words that were penned so long ago in my book, were set in place as examples of how my words affected those from yesterday.

Bitterness, revenge, and unforgiveness are never meant to be the end of your life, nor the place from which you are to live. These are the trio of a wounded soul and a hardened heart. But, today you can start on a path of change, one day at a time, with me and my word as your personal aides. I can do a new thing in you, if you will allow me to.

Psalm 119:105 (The Passion Translation) Truth’s shining light guides me in my choices and decisions; the revelation of your word makes my pathway clear.

Ephesians 4:31 (The Passion Translation) Lay aside bitter words, temper tantrums, revenge, profanity, and insults.

Psalm 37:8 (The Passion Translation) Stay away from anger and revenge. Keep envy far from you, for it only leads you into lies.

Matthew 6:12 (The Passion Translation) Forgive us the wrongs we have done as we ourselves release forgiveness to those who have wronged us.
