The depths of the ocean are unknown. Few really know all that is hidden, all that sparkles with life, where no one sees it grow. The ocean is a mysterious place. It calls many to it because of it's beauty and the possibility of adventure. And yet, it resembles the rhythm of life, it ebbs and flows like a mundane day or even a perfect day. Sometimes, it crashes the surf with fury and strength that instills fear and panic. Panic that seizes hearts and minds and grips the thoughts with foreboding imaginations.
Imaginations of the mind can lead to a depth so deep and dark that life above the water is too complex, too busy, too demanding to live through. Retreating to the place of hiding in your mind is a mechanism of survival in a world that lost its beauty, in your eyes a long, long, time ago.
But lately, you've come up for air and took a peek at life around you. The sight of it stirred you, propelled you for the first time, in a long time, to breathe in the reality of those things you once cherished, those things that you still long for. Each time the panoramic view becomes wider and wider, and the foreboding thoughts drop off of your mind like rain drops from above.
Just like the ocean's depth and the infinite expanse of all it's waves, so too is his love for you. A love without limit, without boundaries, without the harshness of an oceans wave. But, like waves, he waits to pour his love over you, mind and soul. His love is pure. He does not do what so many have done to you. He is kind, patient, not arrogant, not abusive in word or action. He is love.
Psalm 147:3 (Passion Translation) He heals the wounds of every shattered heart.
Psalm 139:15-16 (Passion Translation) You even formed every bone in my body when you created me in the secret place, carefully, skillfully shaping me from nothing to something. You saw who you created me to be before I became me! Before I'd ever seen the light of day, the number of days you planned for me were already recorded in your book.
Psalm 119:64 (Passion Translation) Give me more revelation of your ways, for I see your love and tender care everywhere.
