Old Wine Skin

The old wine skin will be shed by many in the days ahead. Some will resist and refuse because of fear and false security in a religious system. For those who embrace me, I will enable to come out of deception and false security. A coming to the end of self will be required by all who wish to see my glory. A complete stripping off of all selfish gain, ambition, power and influence. Few see the price of following me, which can only be by complete humility.

It will be a precarious walk to my kingdom of light. I want to show many in the valley of decision how they can cling to me and my word like never before this year. Too many remain in fear of the unknown, but I can re-train them all in the knowledge, power, and truth of my name so that they can remain and gain the glory to come through my name.

My church refuses to enter through the narrow gate. My church resists afflictions and fiery trials, all of which purifies and tells me who my true followers are. So many seek ease and peace to avoid total surrender to me. So many seek security in their name, fame, and wealth. Yet, I set the pattern long ago by my own life, through all that I embraced for the human race. So many deny the life of suffering and persecution needed to share in my glory. Any decree to be someone different is an attempt to circumvent my work of holiness evident in my early church.

Today, my church is focused on earthly things that surely will pass away. I am calling so many to come out and follow me; not another program, leader, or book. Simply come and follow me so that you will see me in a new light. I am closer than you perceive and willing, so willing, to help you really believe in just me.

Luke 5:33-39 (Passion Translation)

Jesus’ critics questioned him. “John the prophet is known for leading his disciples to frequently fast and pray. As the religious leaders of the land, we do the same. Why do you and your disciples spend most of your time feasting at banquets?”

Jesus replied, “Should you make the sons of the bridal chamber fast while celebrating with the Bridegroom? But when the Bridegroom is taken away from them, then you will see them fasting.”

And he gave them this illustration: “No one rips up a new garment to make patches for an old, worn-out one. If you tear up the new to make a patch for the old, it will not match the old garment. And who pours new wine into an old wineskin? If someone did, the old wineskin would burst and the new wine would be lost. New wine must always be poured into new wineskins. Yet you say, ‘The old ways are better,’ and you refuse to even taste the new that I bring.”
