Outskirts of the Church

The fringes of the church is where you now find yourself. Having been deeply entrenched in all systems that keep organized religion in place, you’ve seen more than you ever wanted to see, experienced more than most, and now ponder: “Where do I go from here?”

Those who feel they’re on the fringes of what society calls the church, can now turn fully to Me. It’s a place of restoration, a place that allows you to know Me. There are no hindrances in the green pastures of restoration I have prepared for you, there is only you and Me. Gone are the incessant obligations of keeping a group, a program, a church system going. You can breathe easier now. You can see things clearer now.

In silence, you question how is that what you’re beginning to experience was never, or scarcely, your reality before, that is, before you found yourself on the outskirts of the church. Deep calls unto deep. You’ve heard it often and failed to grasp its meaning until recently. My spirit has been searching for those who desire to worship Me in spirit and in truth. It has felt as though you’ve been drawing closer to Me in My word and prayer, and you have, this is deep calling unto deep.

I have been sweeping away the dust of yesterday from your thoughts, emotions, and even in your decision making processes. Big decisions linger in the balance. You can trust Me for those, too. I will not fail you, but know that in this you will have tribulation and temptations too. Remain where I have placed you so that I can do a work within you. No longer must you strive to feel a sense of approval from Me. That desire does not reflect My unending love for you because I love you independent of what you do for Me. I am teaching you this, slowly and precisely. The urge you feel to do something can replace the deep desire you have in getting to know Me. Careful.

How long did David tend sheep while he worshiped Me simultaneously?

How much time elapsed after Moses withdrew from view because of his crime? Nonetheless, I called him to lead My people out of Egypt.

How long did John develop our relationship before he was released to pave the way for the coming Messiah?

In each instance solitude served its purpose well. Did not My son find his father’s purpose in private times of prayer? The same is possible for you. Be not anxious for anything, but in everything make your requests known to Me, with gratitude, and then My peace will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, the Lord. You are now on a new path many resist, few choose, and some leave. A path where our steps are meshed into one so that your destiny, your kingdom purpose becomes clear to you.

Paul the once zealous prosecutor of My people of the Way, was on his path, and I interrupted him. I took him into solitude for three days. There, in his solitude, his heart was being changed, just like yours has been experiencing change. The excitement, and at times, the unknown of it all, knocks on the door your heart to whisper lie’s you’ve heard that are based on performance for significance – that need for significance almost drove you into the ground.

Now, rest My child. Rest in Me and in all that has already been accomplished through My death, and resurrection, which is operating through you by My Holy Spirit in you – the comforter, counselor and teacher. In time, you will experience koinonia, the Greek word that implies the fellowship of true believers. But, for now, rest, trust, believe, and rejoice for your own resurrection from religious condemnation is just about to appear in you and through you.

Definition of Koinonia: fellowship, association, a gift jointly contributed, a collection. Fellowship with Holy Spirit and fellowship with the suffering of Jesus. (biblestudytools.com, compellingtruth.org)  Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible: see #2842.

1 John 1:3, 6-7 (Passion Translation) So we proclaim to you what we have seen and heard about this Life-Giver so that we may share and enjoy this life together. If we claim that we share life with him, but keep walking in the realm of darkness, we’re fooling ourselves and not living the truth. But if we keep living in the pure light that surrounds him, we share unbroken fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, continually cleanses us from all sin.

2 Corinthians 13:14 (Passion Translation) Now may the grace and joyous favor of the Lord Jesus Christ, the unambiguous love of God, and the precious communion that we share in the Holy Spirit be yours continually. Amen!

Philippians 2:1-2 (Passion Translation) Look at how much encouragement you’ve found in your relationship with the Anointed One! You are filled to overflowing with his comforting love. You have experienced a deepening friendship with the Holy Spirit and have felt his tender affection and mercy. So I’m asking you, my friends, that you be joined together in perfect unity – with one heart, one passion, and united in one love. Walk together with one harmonious purpose and you will fill my heart with unbounded joy.

Philippians 3:10 (Passion Translation) And I continually long to know the wonders of Jesus more fully and to experience the overflowing power of his resurrection working in me. I will be one with him in his sufferings and I will be one with him in his death. Only then will I be able to experience complete oneness with him in his resurrection from the realm of death.

Acts 2:42-46 (Passion Translation) Every believer was faithfully devoted to following the teachings of the apostles. Their hearts were mutually linked to one another, sharing communion and coming together regularly for prayer. A deep sense of holy awe swept over everyone, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. All the believers were in fellowship as one body, and they shared with one another whatever they had.
